Business and Internal Communications Editor, Paid InternshipJob Type: Editorial Internship; Paid Job Title: Business and Internal Communications Editor. Create content to support the business communications goals, case studies, employee recognition articles, and blog entries. Expected hours per week: Flexible, but expect objectives that would require about 30 to 40 hours per week for 12 weeks. Most work to be completed on premises at Leslie and Sheppard Head Office location in Toronto. Remuneration: Approximately $500/week, depending on skills and qualifications. Duties of the Job: To develop the case studies and other key communication articles in support of loyaltymonitor.ca. This will include interviewing the case study sponsors, managing the editorial process including the writing the articles. There will also be an opportunity to work on driving the messages through social media avenues such as blogs and forums. The second part of the assignment is to document the employee recognition events through the past five years, one per quarter. These documents will become a book as well as standalone highlights to be posted throughout the firm. Skills and Experience Expected: 1. Working toward a degree in journalism or business communications 2. Solid writing skills, creative. 3. Graphic / presentation skills would be a bonus About the Project: We have launched Loyalty Monitor as a product offering in 2009. At this point, we have a large body of communications material that needs to be packaged more effectively. Specifically, potential clients want to read about case studies to understand how the Loyalty Monitor would fit within their organizations. The second project is to review the Quarterly Award recipients and write a short story on each award. These are project successes that have received a team award. We would like to publish these in a booklet or online space, as well as post the highlights in the office in some form. These articles will require the candidate to interview the recipients in order to get the context of the awards.
